ATTRIBUTION & LIMITS

Every stat starts with a source.

Augris keeps source identity, observation time, sample, and known limitations beside the research. Availability and license terms vary by dataset and season.

Sources active in this release

Augris uses three data sources: nflverse, FTN Data via nflverse, and CollegeFootballData.com. Each is listed below with its licence or terms. No other data provider is used in this release.

nflverse

Historical play-by-play, schedules, rosters, player statistics, identities, and other nflverse-authored research tables come from nflverse source archives under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence. The retained catalog identifies each table and its source timestamp.

nflverse also mirrors tables from other providers. Those tables are not covered by the nflverse licence, and Augris does not serve them: ESPN QBR and ESPN draft probabilities, Pro Football Reference advanced stats, snap counts and rosters, NFL Next Gen Stats tables and pre-2023 participation, and OverTheCap contracts.

FTN charting and participation

Charting (2022 onward) and participation (2023 onward) fields are FTN Data via nflverse, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Attribution: “FTN Data via nflverse”. Route diagrams describe targeted pass concepts from recorded charting. They are schematic. They do not claim player-tracking coordinates or show every route run.

NFL Next Gen Stats

nflverse provides NFL Next Gen Stats data, including participation before 2023, with an attribution requirement (“NFL NextGenStats via nflverse”) and no open licence. Augris does not serve these tables in this release. Where an nflverse-authored table credits Next Gen Stats, that credit is kept with the data.

CollegeFootballData.com

College schedules, team season rates, verified roster identities, and selected player season totals are provided by CollegeFootballData.com under its Terms of Use. Augris shows a limited research view inside a larger product. It does not expose the raw API, a bulk export, or its key. A roster entry does not confirm game participation; player game logs and charted plays remain unavailable until separately verified.

Data provided by CollegeFootballData.com

Not used in this release

Augris does not use ESPN site data (current schedules, rosters, injuries or betting lines), Tank01 live scores or odds, or the third-party tables listed above. Live in-game NFL scores and betting lines are not shown. A provider will be added only after its written rights are recorded, and this page will be updated first.

Adaptations and license rights

Augris normalizes identifiers, combines source tables, filters samples and computes summaries. Where these changes create adapted CC BY-SA material, that adapted data is offered under CC BY-SA 4.0. Original CC BY data retains its source license. Access to Augris tools does not restrict rights granted by those licenses. These data licenses do not license Augris software or grant trademark or likeness rights.

Player identity

Player identity uses initials and team abbreviations. Augris does not request player photographs or third-party team logos.

Trademarks

NFL, team, provider, and player names and marks belong to their respective owners. Augris is an independent research product and does not claim endorsement by the NFL, its clubs, FTN, nflverse, or a data provider.
